T.R.U.S.T.: Documented Susceptibility1

Documented Susceptibility

T.R.U.S.T. (Tracking Resistance in the United States Today) is the largest longitudinal surveillance program. T.R.U.S.T. annually surveys susceptibility of clinically significant pathogens during the winter respiratory season. The T.R.U.S.T. data include antimicrobial susceptibilities for some of the most common ocular pathogens, including Streptococcus pneumoniae and Haemophilus influenzae, based on respiratory, ocular, and other isolates.

In the T.R.U.S.T. survey, QUIXIN® was shown to be as potent in vitro as other newer generation fluoroquinolones against key ocular isolates.

Despite Wide Systemic Use, Key Pathogens Remain Susceptible

  • ≥ 99% susceptibility of S pneumoniae and H influenzae in a LANDMARK, 9-year surveillance study involving over 71,000 isolates from over 200 centers, and counting

Susceptibility of All Isolates (%)

*A correlation between the in vitro systemic breakpoint and ophthalmological efficacy has not been established.
